Goals

"This chapter examined seamless learning from the perspective of external representations. It considered issues related to: the form factor of the devices and how this affects their interactional qualities; the need to understand the social settings and corresponding contexts; and the physical space. It seeks, firstly, to establish the relevance of ER literature and perspectives to the topic of seamless learning and, secondly, to elaborate on the key themes, tensions and research directions that emerge from their combination."
